Third Grade Building Fair
Each year the club enjoys assisting schools in Basking Ridge with its NKCC Building Fair: Creating Our Town. The fair is a great way for children to learn about the town they live in by designing and building their own home and a place in their town, such as a fire station, recycling facility or police station. The children's creations are displayed during the building fair along with interactive displays from local town vendors.
If your second or third grade child or grandchild would like to have a building fair at their school, please contact us at 908-604-5995. Coloring/activity booklets and a Teacher's Manual can be provided to the school.

CYBERCHASE aired a series of shows in February that featured Builders' Math. These shows featured skills such as how to work levers and how to accurately measure boxes, all of which were aimed at teaching problem solving, proportionate reasoning, measurement and geometry. There was also specially-designed Builders' Math games and lesson plans incorporated into the CYBERCHASE Web site, and an outreach initiative that will provide kids around the country with hands-on activities via museums and other organizations.
